Lambert is no Freddie Mercury, but then the fact that he’s about 80 years younger than the surviving members of Queen seems to have given the veteran rock stars a real shot in the arm. They’re having a blast touring at the moment, and after the po-faced joyless rock nonsense of Chris Cornell and Jack White’s themes for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace respectively, we could finally have some fun. Imagine: a rocky Tom Jones. Because that’s what we’re imagining, and that would be brilliant.
